Creative coding is a different strategy for designing. In this workshop students are introduced through a practice-oriented approach into this special method of design, further they learn how digital experiences work and can be developed.

For this purpose, the workshop introduces the visual programming environment Processing,
where the students program a simple visual application in order to try out the creative use of interactive design and learn about the strengths of generative systems as a tool in their product design process.

Through setting up basic forms and interactive elements, thus experimenting with them, students can experience the mechanisms of coding and the diverse possibilities to play creatively with design and interactivity for future physical and digital products.
